Born to Save Coral
The creation of Save Coral came about from two unique individuals, yearning for something more in life.
Captain Lee 'Four' Gibbons
Four always knew his place was on the ocean that he loved and spent countless years boating, fishing and sailing on while growing up. Since achieving his captains license, and running dolphin tours in Florida for years, Captain Four starting having dreams of living a different kind of life. One where he owned, operated and lived aboard his own sailing catamaran. The dream became a goal but the calling would come later.
First Mate Christina Gibbons
Christina had always loved the water, but growing up in places where the water and its resources were not always valued, put a desire in her to not only become a caretaker of animals and people, but a good caretaker of the oceanic environment as well. When enjoying the beauty of the ocean or kayaking down a river, Christina always takes the time to collect any trash she sees just so she can leave the place better than she found it.
We dreamed a dream...
...then found a calling
Between a southern country boy farmer, turned captain, who loves the ocean, and his caring, mission minded mate for life,
Save Coral and the Coral Cowboys were born.
Why Coral Cowboys?
At its core, farming and ranching values being a steward of the land, the creatures that live there, and it's resources. Add salt water and the drive to be of service to the ocean, its inhabitants, and all that depend on it, makes us the Coral Cowboys.
